It says, "This application has failed to start because IEUI.DLL was not found, reinstalling this application may fix this problem." What is IEUI.DLL ??

ieui.dll is the tabbed browsing in internet explorer 7.

A quick fix may be to boot in safe mode and uninstall/reinstall IE7. IE7 is pretty buggy in my opinion and will be for some time. We can check to see if the dll is really missing or not and possibly replace it but i would try a reinstall first

First thing to do is boot into safe mode.
If Windows XP is the only operating system installed on your computer, booting into Safe Mode with these instructions.

* If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power
* Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
* Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
* Ensure that the Safe mode option is selected.
* Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.

Go to your control panel > Add/Remove programs and remove IE7

Alternate option
Once/if you have a desktop open My Computer > Local Disk C: > Windows > System 32
Look for IEUI.dll , we need to just confirm that it is or isnt there. You may have to show hidden files to see it.

To show hidden files, from the system 32 folder click Tools > Folder options then click the view tab. Click the dot next to Show hidden files and folders > click OK. If the IEUI.dll file is there you should be able to see it.

Let us know where you wind up and we'll go from there.

interesting, lets try this

download onto a disk. Boot the machine in normal mode and press control-alt-delete to run task manager. Go to File > New task > Browse and navigate your way to the disk. Right click on browseui.dll file and click copy. Navigate to the c:\windows\system32\ folder, right click and click paste. Reboot your computer

Have you got more than one CD / DVD rom ?

Try it in the other one if you do. If not, open your case and make sure your IDE cables are all plugged in to the Motherboard and the CD/DVD-ROM drive.

Reboot and try to access your cd again.

If you have more than one computer you may wish to try accessing it via CAT-5 cable but thats a whole lot more complicated lol
