I'm running XP

Okay, this is getting on my last nerve. I just did a spyware/trojan scan, and deleted or quarrintined all of them, yet my computer will still freeze random windows. I'll be looking at one, click a different browser window, and come back, and the first window is now frozen, and I have to end the program with Ctrl+Alt+Delete.

Can somebody please help me?

(It's also impossible for me to see my desktop. When I minimize, or close the window, it either stays up, or goes down and leaves a big white thing where it was before.)

You need to download and scan with Hijackthis.... the link for it is to the top left hand side of your screen.

Make a folder for it, don't leave it in a temporary folder because if you fix anything backup files will be created and they need a home.

Please post your logfile in our Hijackthis support forum and a moderator will analyse your log and advise on any action needed. Please don't attempt to fix anything before getting technical help.

If you haven't done so already, try running the free online virus scanner at Trend Micro before you scan with Hijackthis as it sometimes finds things that other scanners miss.
