Spybot keeps finding malware

Postby jw2960 » Wed Nov 24, 2004 5:34 am

spybot finds 6 entries each time I scan. 2 from new.net and 4 from DSO exploit. Spybot always says that it cannot fix the problems because they are in memory but I have selected to run spybot on next startup and the results are the same. Any ideas???

I actually just had a pc at my workplace having the same problem.

do you know what hijackthis is?

if not please download hijackthis from download.com
http://www.download.com/3001-8022_4-10307556.html (click there to automatically start the download)

1. Install the program to its own location not temp directory.
2. open the program
3. hit scan
4. save hijackthis log
5. post log here.

Thanks!

The DSO exploit is a false positive. Dont worry about that.

Otherwise, do as brian suggested and post a HJT log for us to look at.
