Windows XP and AOL 9.0

Postby Mariska » Tue Nov 23, 2004 8:11 pm

Hi. I am currently an AOL user and I am using 7.0 at the moment because whenever I download 9.0, my pc freezes. I've spoken to numerous amounts of AOL techs who cannot seem to fix this problem. THIS ONLY HAPPENS with 9.0! I have tried different steps such as closing running background programs and also minimizing free disk space for art. I even checked for virus, etc. Please, if anyone here can give me further suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried going to Best Buy or some store like that and picking up an AOL 9 CD?

Or see if AOL and ship you a free CD. I get loads of them in the mail.

Hello Mariska,

You do know that you can use one of AOL's free trial CDs to install 9.0
When you start to install from the CD just click the "I already am an AOL user" box.

I must have at least 5 AOL 9.0 CDs that I got from snail mail.

If you don't have one of their CDs maybe a friend or neighbor does or
I'm sure AOL would send you one for free as a last resort.
