How to transfer all data from old computer to a new one?

Postby msiler » Wed Oct 27, 2004 4:16 am

I am picking up a new computer in a few weeks and wonder what the
best way to transfer all my old files to the new computer is?

I would prefer to avod the loooooooooooooooooooong process of
manually transferring all my data and programs from one unit to the
other if I can avoid it.

Is Norton Ghost someting I should look into? I am concerned about
overwriting drivers and such on the new machine if I use something
like Ghost though...

Not sure where to even start so all help is appreciated.

I think what you want is the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard
You can read all about it
