Uninstalling the Uninstallable(!)

Postby ColaBoy » Sat Oct 16, 2004 11:32 pm

I have a program that does not want to load anymore. I get an alert box come up saying there was an error and do I want to send a report. When I go to the control panel to unistall it the same error comes up and I'm unable to unistall it. If put the disc in my drive my pc wont even allow it to autoplay in order for me to reinstall it. Apart from formatting my drive is there anyway to remove this program?

Mmmm, strange, and yet another reason why I will never understand pcs. I decided to defrag my drive,a desperate attempt to see if it had any effect and for reasons I have'nt even got the slightest idea of,it worked. Oh I just love pcs! :s

Thanks for the link though GG. I think a little advanced for me I think but something a may well dabble with one day.

i had a problem like this, alot of things on my pc messed up, and i couldnt play nor uninstall them. i uninstalled war of the rings but it diddnt work properly, and it wouldnt re-install properly. so just messing arund i searched the registry for it and i thoguth screw it il delete it, and then i tryed to re-install and it worked perfectly! althought we all know its not a good idea just to remove entries from the registy, but this did work for me.
