My PC has started to lock up regularly. It seems to happen when I switch between open prograpms or if it's left idle for a few minutes or more. All I have to do to unlock it is call up Task mgr and then close it and that seems to help. But it's really annoying. Also at times my mouse changes so that if I double click to open something it doesn't work. Instead I have to click once, which opens the drop down list of actions from whjcih I have to choose open. Again very annoying.

I do run hungry programs like photoshop all the time but I think it's something more fundemental than that.

........and when i try to log on to sites like 'hijackthis......it wont let me..............

Well there is nothing in your logfile now that I see that could be causing that to happen.

Make sure everything is uptodate http://download.windowsupdate.com/

Also...what's Spyware apps do you have?
We're you able to get Ad-Aware and Spybot??

Let me know, I'll e-mail them too if you can't download them...
