@#$% these files!

Postby robym6 » Wed Oct 06, 2004 2:04 am

This is a brand new computer and the same problem that happened with my old one just happened on this one. IE6 stopped responding with the files:

C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERd20a.dir00\iexplore.exe.mdmp
C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERd20a.dir00\appcompat.txt

as the ones included in the error report. The following is the error signature:

szAppName : iexplore.exe szAppVer : 6.0.2900.2180 szModName : hungapp
szModVer : 0.0.0.0 offset : 00000000

Is it Windows media player that's causing this to happen? Should I post a hijackthis log file?

Hey robym6...
I noticed you Downloaded HJT to a TEMP folder, always download to a folder OTHER than Temp/Temorary Internet Folders.

EG---- Open MyDocuments----Right click an empty spot and select NEW---Folder----Name the new folder HJT ---this is where you will want to save Hijackthis too, also, backups will be stored there.
