restart problem

Hi
Can anyone help with this problem
After installing SP I found the restart option when shutting down my computer no longer works I can shut down and the start up manually ok but when I use the restart option the computer shuts down but does not restart automatically I suppose it is more of a nuisance than a problem but I do not like things to not work when they should any suggestions please

Weird. Well I dont really know how to fix this, but you may want to see if the problem persists if you remove SP 2. Heres how to do it:

Start/ Run / "appwiz.cpl"
click OK
Click "show updates" in the check box
Click XP service Pack 2, and click Remove
