CD/dvd rom dilemma

Postby Atomos » Wed Aug 04, 2004 4:35 pm

Hi guys and gals, my first post here (make me feel welcome :P )

the problem i have is driving me insane, cant seem to find a fix for it at all.

I have a dvd rom drive and a dvd rw drive, when i boot up the system with a cdrom or dvd rom in either drive i can use it fine, however if i insert another disc into the drive, the computer still seems to think the old disc is still in there (even the icon will not change) and will not work, the only way i can switch discs is by restarting the whole system.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

Have you tried pressing F5 when the drive is highlighted in order to update it? What CD-writing programs do you have installed? Finally, is autorun enabled?

Have you gone to the Manufacturer's site and gotten the latest Firmware and Drivers?
