Puter is hanging on me...???

Every now and again when i move the mouse to exit the screensaver the PC hangs up and shos 100% cpu usage. I'm using McAfee and im guessing this is causing this problem.

Anyone else had this ??

If you are using a screen saver that did not come with windows itself then the screen saver could be the problem.

A little more information about the "hang up" could help in resolving this problem.
Do you get an error popup window describing the error and listing an error number?
You said that the CPU jumps to 100% does it ever go back to normal?

Its webshots screensaver i'm using gecko. I get no error code. the curser eggtimer comes up and just stays there (and the cpu) at 100%. It doesnt seem to clear. yesterday i had to swich off the PC and reboot to clear it.

Ive done a scan but it seems to be clean. I havent had the problem since.
