spammers heaven

Over time I have noticed many of us are concerned about security on our systems. There is one small thing we tend to overlook and dont realize what damage it can cause.

Have you ever received and email with a long list of addresses with it. Sometimes we just take the email and forward it to some one else. This is a spammers heaven. What we should be doing is save the attachment to our documents then send it off to who ever we wish. This way all of those other addresses are not sent along with it. We all have friends on the internet and if we value them we should make an attempt to protect them as well as we would like to be protected.

If we followed this email protocol a lot of spammers wouldnt have the chance to work their nasty ways. The nice thing is this is a free way to secure our systems, granted it takes a little more effort.

You sure are right....prevention works!
When forwarding an E-mail...you can HIGHLIGHT all those other E-mail addresses and either CUT or DELETE them...then they are gone from the email and you can now forward it with only your address.

I agree with sly. when ever I get an email that is a FWD or FWD or FWD FWD I dont even bother to open it. I use Mailwasher.net, delete it, blacklist it and bounce it. When I pay $1,000.00 for a piece of equipment I want to protect it to the best of my ability. Daniel

Glad you pointed it out. I receive alot of fwds but are from people I know. I trust them, but do I trust the people who sent it first to them. Never really thought about it. I have now taken your suggestion under consideration.
Thanks.
