Bios Password

Right been a bit of a dick and forgot my Bios password, DOH! Is There anyway round this? Also im getting a new mother board next week will the password stay the same or will the new mother board have no password? Seeing that its new.

You can Reset the Password by pulling the CMOS Battery for 10min.,then resetting the battery and rebooting should clear the Password.
Most MFGer's have a backdoor Password that might get you in as well,but you will need to Post your BIOS info here.
Some of the Mfger's that have Backdoor Passwords are:
Award,AMI,PHOENIX and many misc.
You can also use Applications to either retrieve or kill passwords such as this app:
KILLCMOS

The NEW MOBO will not have a Password until you set it up upon installation of the MOBO.

That helps alot thanks. Im just going to wait untill I get my new mother board and then write down my password this time LOL

Most, but not all, motherboard manufacturers now provide a set of jumpers
that provide you with the ability to clear the Bios/CMOS settings.
Doing this will return the BIOS to the motherboard manufacturers factory or default settings.
