I have no idea what my son did on the computer. but now, explorer.exe is restarting every 10 seconds... I suspect he opened some type of trojan... could you please check? thanks.

Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.

Do not exit Combofix while it is running you my loose all your personal settings!
Important Note - Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running, that may cause it to stall.

When it's done running it will produce a log for you. Please post that log in your next reply.

Okay... I don't know whether this will help, but when I start up the computer and log in, Windows Installer pops up and starts installing something random (it doesn't say what). Explorer.exe still restarts every 5-10 seconds, and Spybot S&D is spamming me with "Change in Registry; Accept Change or Deny?" messages. Anyway, here's the ComboFix log, which took me about 5 minutes just to open, because explorer.exe would always restart before I could even click on the icon.
