Help Required Urgently

Postby faeriescar » Mon Jul 24, 2006 7:57 pm

Hi. I need help with the following problem urgently.

Yesterday, my computer was infected with a trojan... se_spoof.dll . With instructions from a previous posts, I managed to get rid of the se_spoof.dll file and managed to solved the problem of my google and yahoo searches being elsewhere.

However, the problem still persists ONLY when I use wikipedia. Any search in wikipedia will lead to www.finditanyway.com , which is a website under the dreaded Trust Cleaner.

This is my Hijack This Log :-

Please copy this to Notepad and print it. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes.
You should not have any open windows when you are following the procedures below.

Press Ctrl/Alt/Del and "End Task" or "End Process" on each of the following:
(They may or may not be there)
TrustCleaner.exe
rlvknlg.exe

Turn off system restore by right clicking on My Computer and go to Properties->System Restore and check the box for Turn off System Restore. Click Apply and then OK. (Turn it back on after this is repaired and you've rebooted.)
Close all other open Windows and have HiJackThis Fix:

O2 - BHO: ChangerBHO Class - {0D4C7057-EAD2-44C6-AD18-9092905F28F1} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\qdvds.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RelevantKnowledge] c:\windows\system32\rlvknlg.exe -boot
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Trust Cleaner] C:\Program Files\Trust Cleaner\TrustCleaner.exe
O8 - Extra context menu item: Grip.com - file://C:\Program Files\GRIPCZ29\Cache\SelectedContextSearch.htm
O16 - DPF: {17D72920-7A15-11D4-921E-0080C8DA7A5E} (AimSp32 Class) - http://makeover.ivillage.co.uk/save/makeover.cab

Uninstall the following via the Add/Remove Panel (Start->(Settings)->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs) if they exist:
TrustCleaner

Go to My Computer->Tools/View->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that 'Show hidden files and folders' is enabled. Also make sure that Display the contents of System Folders' is checked. Remember to reset these when done.
Delete the following Files/Folders if they exist:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\qdvds.dll
c:\windows\system32\rlvknlg.exe
(the folder) C:\Program Files\GRIPCZ29\
(the folder) C:\Program Files\Trust Cleaner\

If you cannot delete these file(s)then:
Start HijackThis and click the Open the misc tools section now click Delete a file on reboot
browse to the file location and click OK

Click open but click no to reboot now do the same for each file:

Now, empty all your TEMP Folders, Temporary Internet Files Folder and then empty your Recycle Bin, reboot and post a new HiJackThis log.
