With the Vx2 Spy crap I got, I also got a bunch of "host files" on HJT and they keep sending me 'ads' from this dumb ip and I tried to 'block' ip address but it didn't work:

Ok hue_jass...

Turn off System Restore. (Turn it back on after this is repaired and you've rebooted.) Close all other open Windows and have HiJackThis Fix:

O1 - Hosts: 69.20.16.183 auto.search.msn.com
O1 - Hosts: 69.20.16.183 search.netscape.com
O1 - Hosts: 69.20.16.183 ieautosearch

Now, empty all your TEMP Folders (WinXp has up to 4 of them) / Temporary Internet Files Folder and then empty your "Recycle Bin" and Reboot.

Run HJT again and post a freash logfile.

Looks good. Don't be worried that there's not enough stuff showing. Less is better. If you need a Program or Service, simply start it.
