Trouble with computer

I'm having trouble with my computer. I downloaded Hijack This, but whatever is on my system keeps closing it out. I tried renaming it like the FAQ said on Trend Micro's page said to do, but that didn't work. Got any other bright ideas? I have an XP.

Try trend micro's online scanner and see if it will remove some of your troubles, perhaps you can get a hijack log after that
