I really don't see anything bad in your log.

McAfee is a known resource hog and could be causing the lagging.
Just look at you log, I count 14 process running that are for McAfee!

okay... so do you recommend 'AVG', 'Avast!' or another free anti-virus program?

I recommend AVG both the anti-virus and the anti-spyware.
