ok, i need some help with this cuz it is making me mad. every so often when i start windows in my comp it starts to load windows and if scan disk isn't allowed to run when it pops up (the scan disk that starts on improper shutdown which i have to do if comp freezes up) i get an error message saying mprexe has caused an error in krnl386.dllwhat does this mean and how do i fix it? I am running win ME and have never had this trouble before.

Are you sure it was "kernel386.dll"?
Here's the on exactly that error.
I'm pretty sure their "fix" was addressed in patch contained in Win98/Me updates. Have you updated your WinMe?
If it had been an error in kernel32 it would have been a password issue.
I also found one reference to a Trojan. Just to be safe I'd Download / Update / and Run: .
