Dell Inspiron 1300 laptop Display configuration after re-ins
Posted: Mon Aug 31, 2009 9:57 pmhi the machine was originally xp home now upgraded to xp pro sp 3 ..after much time wasting and frustration I have re-formatted my Dell Inspiron 1300 Laptop and installed Windows 2000 Professional as this has much quicker boot speed than windows XP pro ....but I cannot find a Display Driver for 2000 ..on the Dell site or any other site ..the machine defaults to 640 ,480 with 16 colours ,with no option to update driver on this OS . If anyone can give me a pointer to a HOWTO to changing and increasing display driver ( I need at least 800,600 preferably 1024 ,768 res for web browsing etc) . many thanks ..
