Yes, you'd save space loading only Win98. You'll need the restore disks for the drivers for the systems hardware but doing a format and clean install of Windows is the way to go.

Depending on who installed the Operating System their may be a folder, Win98, containing all the setup files.
Try looking under your C or D drives and see if theirs a folder called Win98.

Win98se has fixes for flaws in Win98.
It will take up around 600-700mb depending on how many "extra's" you install.
As teammpp said: "Try looking in C:/Windows/Options/CAB for a file called Setup.exe
That is usually were a back up copy of Win98 is installed."
Or on some machines it's C:/CABS
I'm sure you find a disk on Ebay or somewhere. I'd ask around your friends..........
