Sure hope someone can help me! I decided to delete some of the 293 Fonts on my computer that I never use but deleted too many! All the Fonts startting with the title "Chess" are gone and all the "symbol" Fonts are deleted also. I know, I know, I really screwd up.
Now my computer will not display things properly.
Can anyone please tell me how to correct the problem? Can I get them back? Do Ihave to re-install Windows all over again?
I am running Windows 95/98, Pentium 3, Dell

If you just did it, you can boot into dos by tapping the f8 key on boot and selecting DOS prompt. then type in scanreg /restore. there is a space between scanreg and /. You'll get a blue screen with 5 sucessfull boot dates. Pick one that was before the "accident" and hit enter.
If your forced to use a boot disk to get into dos (ie you've really messed with the registry) you'll have to type in a path statement to get that command to run
Path=c:\windows\command
Then run scanreg /restore
The system will reboot and you should be cooking
