Hi Teststrips!

I did not disable the sound card. The original sound card is attached to the motherboard. Is this why I'm having problems?

well.. I was told to delete sound from the device manager. then I disabled the sound card via set up. then I added the new sound card and driver. still the same error. :(

When you say you deleted the old sound from setup, do you mean that you disabled it in the BIOS?

From the sound of it, even though you have the BSOD, you still manage to get into windows - is this correct? Have you tried installing the latest drivers for the soundcard? Are you sure your speakers are working & are connected to the new soundcard correctly?
