I'm not sure what you are getting at here - when you refrmat a floppy, no more space is taken up compared to however much weas avaikable before the format. And secondly, a quick format will delete the label (I think - been a while since I used floppys). The only difference between a quick and full format is that a quick format doesn't do any checking for bad sectors.
