Drivers drivin me krazy

Postby Geekgirl » Mon Aug 02, 2004 6:46 pm

I started a thread before about my monitor sometimes the color looked alittle pink and I thought it was my vid card, someone thought mayb the connection was loose but in fact it was the monitor it quit yesterday. :|

I purchased a View Sonic 19' model A90f+.
Well I keep getting an error when trying to install the drivers. It can't find the A90f_p.ICM file.
I kno the file is on the disk, when I explore the drive, and the vsfiles folder, its showing it in there.
When I highlight the file name it says its a ICC Profile file. You can't open it, it won't do nothing. So I'm stuck using default monitor.

I've tried the Device Manager route, but it keeps saying its not in the path where I'm directing it.

I know drivers are a bitch, anyone have any suggestions on how to get try to get this to see this file and install it?

I can use the monitor but am lacking the full features

Was the CD not an AUTOMATIC Installation?
Did the installation install them to a TEMP folder and maybe you need to point to that folder??

Just something to check out?

Did you do a search on Google to see if there are any known issues?

Yes it is an Automatic install CD.
Didn't check the Temp folder and Google didn't get no hits on it.
I went to View Sonic website and successfully installed the file I needed :) :)

Thanks Cactus

hmmm, not sure how to take your reply noby, but when you try to install drivers, and you kno the file is on the disc, and your directing it to the proper location and its still saying that the file you need is not there thats where Im talking krazy

I think every tech geek in here can agree that drivers are the one thing that gives you the most trouble, am I right guys :?:
