I learned some html and some asp while I was at college

If i was to make a website. What would be the best method to use?
It will be a site that sells packages, such as activities, accommodation. suppose like a travel shop.

I know alot of people prefer flash, sql
+also software to use. Ive just used frontpage+dreamweaver a little.

Im a long way from even offering services or products to people, but just thinking longterm, if i should start learning a new skill for web design.

Joomla or wordpress seems to be a hot item right now.
But in agreement there about php and mysql.

I think, you schould try to learn PHP, mySQL. You schould try to build dynamic web pages, with dynamically generated content (from databeses).

I always use external CSS, divs, and very few images (if any at all)

Frames and tables for layouts are generally considered bad practice.

Another good thing to think about is to include your menus and footers in .php and then call these menus with the include() function;
