Excel to web?

Hello all,
I don't even know where to begin with this so I was hoping y'all could help me out. I have recently begun putzing around with building websites, mostly static pages for me and some fellow photographers-nothing to involved at all. Now I have a 'client' (friend of a friend of a...) who wants me to build a site for his business, which I think will be fun and a good way to learn. My question in this, he has an Excel spreadsheet that he calls his 'quick quote' which has all sorts of calculations built in to give furniture rental rate quotes based on time of year requested, length of contract, etc and I need to put that on the web in some form format...is there any program out there that will allow me to transfer that data to a useable format for web or do I need to write something else?

I am sure that this could be pretty involved and I am not expecting a complete 'how to' from anybody, I am just hoping for a little help on how to get started, I'm not even sure what program to use; I am guessing Acrobat 6 but if anyone else has a better idea I am all ears!

Thanks in advance everyone!

Kevin

If I get you right, you want users to be able to go to the website, enter some information and get a quote?

It can be done, but Im not too sure about just adding an excel spreadsheet into the site. I know if you did a series of formulas in PHP you could do it.

You are starting your first site with some complicated stuff btw. hehe

Thanks for the feedback!

Just a quick comment

There are some very good books and internet resources for php. The book i really learnt allot of my php that i use today is Luke Welling & Laura Thomson PHP and MySQL Web Development.

The other very good resource is http://www.php.net Here you can look at the php manual which gives examples of how functions are used.
