Problems LMS and Video File
Issue:
We have an LMS system, running on windows 7 32 bit with embedded videos in webpages. When we try to run the video through the system we just receive an outline of a box, no video, no prompts of any sort. The video files are local to the machine and not coming over the network. When we run the webpage from the local hard drive the video file plays properly.
We are running Internet Explorer 8 with windows media player 12. We have installed the proper plugins / add ons (java, WMP, etc.). All are set to run without permission.
Attempted Resolutions:
We have looked at the code and compared it to sample code for properly embedding video into a webpage. The code is fine, and has worked in the past.
We have tried Altering permissions for all three zones (trusted sites, Intranet, and Internet). We have taken all zones down to their lowest levels, enabled / disabled several options to allow less restrictions, added the website to the trusted zones, and Turned on / off require server verification for all sites in this zone.
There are no restrictions on the user policies that might block the video or disallow the use of activex or plugins.
