Building a site forum

Does anyone know how I can build a site forum like this one on my pc then upload it to a website? I am in the process of building my own web site once I get the hosting company I would like to upload it and one of the things I want on the site is a forums section. Any suggestions or help would be great.

This site is built with software called PHP-Nuke. You can visit the site to get more info on it. http://www.phpnuke.org It's a Content Management System or CMS.

If you just want a straight forum, go to http://phpbb.com and download thier software. It too is free, and it will look like these forums just without the front page stuff.

Both need a database to run. Usually it mysql. So when you acquire hosting, make sure you get atleast one mysql database. Most through the first one in for free. I like to have two, one for the live site and one for testing addons.

When you make a decision and need more info, give me a shout and I'll help you out some more.
