Maybe its just me but i expect google to announce plans for its own operating system before long. Android, their smartphone OS, is gaining popularity all the time and i can easily see them easing into the PC operating system market. They have already got their feet wet with Chrome and tons of small google apps and widgets and the success of the google earth application was amazing. Its used by most all the major news broadcasters now when showing any global event/location. I wouldnt be surprised to see something in the next year or so, what do you think?

? Google have already announced an OS. They're calling it Chrome at the moment, which is the same name they gave to their web browser so it's asking for a bit of confusion.

I don't expect I'll ever show any interest in it though since it won't run me games.

wow, i need to update my bookmarks dont i. If its built on a linux kernel i just might have to try it.

They have already dabbled with such OS on the mini notebooks. Check out gOS. It is a Googled up version of Linux designed to be light weight for the mini PC's.

They've been talking about it for a while. I'm still waiting for it to come out. I guess they've been preoccupied with Android OS lately as it has become quite popular. I'm curious to see the OS when it comes out. Hopefully it's not a dud like Google Wave.
