Well as for gaming, I use Cedega. But then again you are playing much more intense games than I. But I still think Ubuntu us like you say the smoothest distro. I especially like it on a notebook. Only thing about Dell doing this though, is I hope it doesn't make Ubuntu more commercialized like Red Hat has become. Even though it is based on Debian, the Ubuntu developers got it right as far as installation ease and hardware compatibility. Debian still is difficult to install and set up driver modules.
