Burnt electrical smell
My linux server system died sometime in the middle of the night last night.
When I got up this morning there was that hint of burnt electrical in the air.
So I started checking what was running, the linux system had no lights on.
The PSU fried (burnt electrical) and it looks like it took the master HDD and motherboard with it.
The asus motherboard has two blown (bulging) capacitors now and will not power up, not even the LED light
The master HDD will not spin at all and its circuit board gets real hot real fast.
The slave drive is intact, my backups are safe at least.
This system was running red hat, apache and mysql for testing server side php and for ftp.
It was an older system AMD 1.3 cpu and 512 ram but it served me will for the last 4 years.
