hey im the guy everyone comes to to fix their computer, and I do everything from replacing/upgrading components to o/s installs etc. and I usually get paid around $100 for repairs of any sort in general, and I was wondering what I could charge within reason for seperate types of repairs...im not certified yet and at 16 i haven't been employed yet so I have no clue what is reasonable

That's what I am doing now, favors for whatever the owner of the computer in question wants to donate.

I just got a Compaq Presario 900 notebook for fixing one of my buddie's family computers. Too bad it has a busted screen which will need replacing

The owner of a Dunkin Donuts store that I (sadly) used to work at paid me 70 dollars to fix 2 store computers that were infected with spyware.

And a boss of mine at work is paying me 40 dollars for a mess of a computer that I just did my best to fix.

It's not much, but since I am not certified and don't have a degree (yet) it's the best I can do.
