In case you don't know what phishing is it's dodgy people sending you a mail that appears to be off a reputable company such as a bank, building society, Paypal in the hope that you will click on one of their dubious links and divulge the sign-in and password to your finances. They are basically trying to steal your log-on info.

Some of these are very clever and this link tests you to see if you can work out which emails are real or not.

Very scary but very interesting and also a valuable lesson to try and learn.



Click on the blue links to reveal each email and decide if it's bogus or not.

9/10 for me....the secret is in the URLs which is what I have always used.

I read that somewhere after I'd taken the test... hey ho.

Ermmm if the secret's in the url why didn't you get 10/10 ?

I got fooled on one link that didnt use https and had a .biz on the end. I studied it for awhile and was 50/50 about the answer. I should have guess on the side of caution which is how I do it in real life.

Well if i scored 8/10 without looking at urls I must have used a woman's instinct... or I looked for smudgy looking copies of graphics hehehe

I think Gecko creates those phishing emails for a living and he recognized his work hehehe

Yep that's me, plus I do all that viagra spam you get in your email.
