A+ Certification

Postby marchal » Tue Feb 22, 2005 5:43 pm

Am in the process of a career change and want to go into PC Support/Tech. Am in a tech school which is "computer led", I go at my own pace, read topics, take quizzes and take a test on the whole subject...am wondering if this is a good route to go or if there are programs similar to what I'm doin in class out there that can help me learn and eventually go for an A+ Certification on my own...thanks!

Most of the answers to you questions depend on your skill level. If you already are very good with computers, getting a certification on your own maybe the way to go. I never went to a technical school in my life, nor did I go to college and I have an MCSE.

Getting into the technical field may require more then just knowledge of computers or a certification. I jused to be from the NY/NJ area and the market is flooded. Knowing someone who will give you your first break might be necessary. Sad but true. But keep at it and keep your eyes open. It worked for me it can work for you.
