hehe.. yup... seems about right.... actually reminds me of the time in my previous contract when an M.C.S.E. qualified IT manager asked me for help getting two hard drives working in a computer...

When I checked the setup inside the PC, I found that he had the drive jumpers set to Master and Slave.. but had the UDMA cable connected the wrong way round.. so I patiently explained to him that he should use CSEL on the drives, and make sure he connected the IDE cable the correct way round for master and slave drives.. he responded with.. oh.. that must be a new thing is it? I responded with 'yesh.. fairly.. they've only been around for about 5 or 6 years now'

This is also the guy who couldn't get a computer to boot when he connected a CD-Rom drive to the the motherboard.. never actually realising what that red wire at one edge of the IDE cable actually signified.. and had it connected the wrong way round (DESPITE) the notch making it virtually impossible to connect it the wrong way round....

the general rule.. Qualifications mean nothing.. experience is everything :)
