Yes, there are fires burning in New Orleans now. They are trying to evacuate remaining people from over there. I know alot of them were brought over to the astrodome but there full now. I was at work today and seen several school busses headed south to pick up more people. The thing that dissapoints me is i have seen very little military action as far as evacuating goes. I know that the National Guard has been present and trying to help keep things calm but the thing that crosses my mind is that we have choppers and such that can hold hundreds of people and travel 10 times faster than a bus and yet there not being used. Dont get me wrong, im not trying to dog out our military or our goverment but i simply dont understand. Perhaps theres a good explaination but i havent heard one yet.

We hired 2 new employees today, both came here from new orleans. They came in this morning and they were working before noon. I asked both of them today if they had lost everything and ,of course, they replied yes. They told me that the only thing they have is the clothes they were wearing. They have been washing them every night since monday because they have nothing else. They were staying with an elderly lady in town that they had met just a few days ago, when they first arrived here. Both of these guys put in a hard days work and never once complained about their situation, its humbling to say the least.

Your government should help out more though. Its like they not doing much over there? :S. Sounds so bad people losing everything sorry to hear all that lil jim .
