New Case, Motherboard and cpu

Postby Gecko » Sun May 25, 2003 12:41 pm

I should start off with saying this is my wife's computer running Win 98 SE.
I just got her a new case, motherboard and cpu, she wants me to not format her hard drive if at all possible.
So my question is, can this be done without too much trouble?
The new MB has onboard nic and sound, all the other peripherals from her old computer will be used in the new case (hdds, cdrom, cdrw, video card). I plan on deleting the nic card and sound card just before I shut down her computer to do the upgrade, what other problems might I come up against?

Thank you in advance

It worked!! :D
I had to reboot about 50 times but it worked, she is so happy with me, right now anyway
uninstalling the sound and nic cards was the right thing to do, no conflicts or other problems
