Yagi Antenna Questions

Postby CG@RockaHorse » Sun Apr 15, 2012 5:41 pm

I recently purchased a Yagi antenna ... 936wt_1139, so my neighbor and I could share internet. The wireless adapter I purchased to connect it to is a TP- Link TL-WN722N ... =TL-WN722N.

Now the problem I have run into is that the wireless adapter is not picking up any of the networks in the area. I know the adapter works, because we tested it in my neighbors house and it picks his router signal up just fine. So we tested it from the drive way of my house, and nothing. We tried using my laptops wireless adapter with 4dBi gain and it picks up several networks in the area just barely but its more than with the tp-link adapter. Now from what I have come to understand is that wireless N and G are at different frequencies but N adapters are capable with G frequencies so I am at a loss with what the issue is. Could this just be a faulty antenna? any help would be most appreciated.
