System Mechanic 7 ?

Postby Zion45 » Sun Dec 21, 2008 5:06 pm

What are the feelings about the likes of System Mechanic software?

I have the option of installing System Mechanic 7 onto a Vista computer, but I have read some negative reviews including complaints about hogging of system resources and conflicting with virus protection [currently NOD32].

I am wary of these 'one-click' solutions to 'problems', especially if they are likely to cause more upon installation.

Any thoughts/opinions about this software ?

Hello Zion, welcome to the forums :)

This is a strange coincidence, as i tried to install a newer version of System mechanic today, but it didn’t seem to work properly, so I’m now trying one called 'Advanced SystemCare'. It seems pretty good so far, fixed ALOT of registry’s and cleaned about 12gig of temp files.

As i have only started using it today, i cannot tell you how good it is, but i will keep reporting back if you like?

As i said, so far it seems pretty good.
