New wireless N routers by Linksys

Postby Axelation » Sun Feb 03, 2008 3:20 pm

There is a new router out there that is a 802.11N. It boasts of longer range and faster connection speeds. But what they don't tell you is that when WEP is enabled, a packet sniffer will not only give you the router info, but will give you the WEP key as well. It takes about 10 mins to hack into one. Normally, that info is encrypted and takes a little longer to obtain and at greater trouble. But anyone with a sniffer could own your "N" network in a couple of minutes.
