VPN thinggy

Postby Zin5ki » Sun Nov 25, 2007 5:42 pm

Does anyone here use "Relakks"? It apparently uses a 128-bit encrypted VPN tunnel.
The Swedish company behind it claim:

The IP-number you receive from your existing ISP is only used to connect your computer to RELAKKS,from there on RELAKKS substitute your existing IP-number with a new IP-number from RELAKKS

and also:

your existing ISP will not be able to intercept and track your applications or communication

However, I don't yet know if this alone means I can be certain that my friendly college admins won't be able to see what I'm doing should they try to.
I can get a connection to the VPN, and it does indeed give me a new IP number, but I'm hesitant to try any P2P antics in case I'm still being watched.

Does anyone know just how safe my connection is from being monitored by anyone other than the staff at Relakks?
I apologise if questions of this sort aren't meant to be asked here.
