email scams

Postby badpolarbear » Fri May 14, 2004 3:20 pm

In the past couple months I have received two lovely emails. One told me I won 1.5 million dollars and the other 1 million. It seems service providers are not willing to do anything about this crap. What I generally do is Neo Trace it and send an email back to the person with the trace log and tell then I would appreciate they send no more. Is there anything I can do to really piss these people off and make life miserable for them?

The best thing you can do is just delete this junk and never reply to it or make the mistake of ever buying anything from this crap. Many people use programs like MailWasher to help control receiving spam.

I agree with you Ranger Bob about MailWasher. I have the Pro version and love it. You right about ignoring them but its really hard when you hear you've won millions.
