Postby bertronix » Tue Jul 08, 2003 6:29 pm

Hi, This is a first for me, If I try to get on the Internet by typing in the search of my IE browser, I get the following: "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shutdown! I click on details and it says "Explorer caused an invalid page fault in module URLMON.DLL at 017f.702b3bb3. Iv'e tried everything to overcome it, rebooting etc. with no luck. Does anyone know how to clear this? Thanks in advance, Bertronix.

Brian, Now that you mentioned it, I am considering upgrading to XP. I never upgraded an OS before. Would you recommend purchasing a full version from a software supplier or upgrading online from Microsoft? Thanks, Bertronix :?: P.S. Found the culprit causing the problem in my registry, thanks for the help!

To be honest you may as well go for the cheapest - all the various versions contain the same CD, the differences are in the packaging & the price. The only difference here are upgrade versions which require you to show proof of a previous purchase :)
