mobile redirect

Postby cking » Wed Aug 05, 2009 5:26 pm

currently we have 2 separate websites / address ones for mobile users and ones for all other users. What I am looking for is a solution either page / script or server based way to forward the mobile user from our main non mobile site to the mobile one if they choose to use that address instead. But, still allow regular users to pass thorough to the non optimized site.

cking,

The most common way to do this is by a java script Screen Resolution Redirect.
Like the one found here:
http://www.java-scripts.net/javascripts ... tion.phtml

The fact that you want to be able to have mobile users have the option makes it a little more difficult.
I would say the easiest way would be to use the above script and then just put a link to the regular site in the mobile page header.

Otherwise your looking at coding some custom functions or using a form and cookies.
