Software • Windows Update - Something Odd]]> About a day later I got some Microsoft Word updates in Windows updates. At first I didn't think much, but then the following day I got over 40 more updates O_o I allowed and nothing negative has happened. Well now I'm getting version 2010 of Microsoft Office even though I have 2007? Why am I getting updates for an different version? I could just see Microsoft screwing 2007 over and involuntary downloading and installing it. I already had this with Win 10 OS. Since then I'm paranoid about Windows Updates. In fact, I've had files, specifically documents, corrupted because it was updating and had some error or shut down without warning? I'm suppose to get notification and I've checked in the settle, but on one PC it just shut down and restarted regardless O_o

Has anyone gotten any updates for another version of a software you have? Or have you had weird shit with Windows Updates? I know it makes it easier to get updates, but it feels so sneaky and deceptive to me. I like my PC how it is setup and many updates tend to alter/change my settings *growls*

It looks to me like the errors you listed a more hardware related than software.
Error 0x87AF010A is a Windows Store update error, the error 0x800700B7 is a restore error directly related to a "bad block" on your drive. Even bigger indications that it's hardware are this two line:
"The IO operation at logical block address 0x35de0d0 for Disk 0 (PDO name: \Device\00000037) was retried."
"The file system structure on volume C: has now been repaired."

In simple terms windows has detected a bad block on your drive and flagged it as retired (not accessible).

However non of these events would have anything to do with your system running "really slowly". Have you run a virus/malware scan?

A few days ago, I noticed my desktop was running and loading everything really slowly. I decided to look in the Event Viewer and I saw that there were multiple instances of Errors such as:

-"Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x87AF010A: 9NBLGGH4R32N-Microsoft.WindowsFeedbackHub."
-"App Container profile failed with error 0x800700B7 because it was unable to register the AppContainer SID."
-"The device, \Device\Harddisk0\DR0, has a bad block."

and multiple Warnings such as:

-"The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device SWD\WPDBUSENUM\{6a68cbfa-a505-11e7-b6a4-d43d7edb0275}#0000000000100000."
-"The IO operation at logical block address 0x35de0d0 for Disk 0 (PDO name: \Device\00000037) was retried."
-"The file system structure on volume C: has now been repaired.".

I tried looking for possible solutions and tried running CHKDSK (no errors found). I also downloaded CrystalDisk which says my SSD is at 100%. My searches also brought up results that pointed to Windows 10 Creator Update as the culprit. I should also note that I've had this same problem happen to me twice before, this being the third time. In the two previous times, I've also had similar Errors and Warnings in the Event Viewer. Both those times, I decided to reinstall Windows 10. The fresh install would run normally for about two months before hitting the same problems again.

Can anyone tell me whether this is a hardware problem or software problem?

Software • Re: Start a new page after the endnotes in a Word documen]]>
1.Put insertion pointer at the end of the document but ahead of endnotes. Or you can press “Ctrl+ End”.
2. Then click “Page Layout” tab--> “Breaks”---> “Next Page”. All endnotes will go to a new page.
3. Now click “References” and then the extend button to open “Footnote and Endnote” dialog box.
4. In the box, choose “Endnotes”.Then select “End of section’.
5. Lastly, click “Apply”. All endnotes shall go back to the end of the section and leave the new page blank where is now independent of the endnote area.

Or you can simply write VBA codes.

For a document with only one section:

Code:
Sub InsertNewPageForOneSectionDoc()
  Selection.EndKey Unit:=wdStory
  Selection.InsertBreak Type:=wdSectionBreakNextPage

  With Selection.EndnoteOptions
    .Location = wdEndOfSection
    .NumberingRule = wdRestartContinuous
    .StartingNumber = 1
    .NumberStyle = wdNoteNumberStyleLowercaseRoman
  End With
End Sub

For a document with multi-section:

Code:
Sub InsertNewPageForDocWithSections()
  Selection.EndKey Unit:=wdStory
  Selection.InsertBreak Type:=wdSectionBreakNextPage

  With Selection.EndnoteOptions
    .Location = wdEndOfSection
    .NumberingRule = wdRestartContinuous
    .StartingNumber = 1
    .NumberStyle = wdNoteNumberStyleLowercaseRoman
  End With

  With ActiveDocument.PageSetup
    .SuppressEndnotes = True
  End With

  Selection.MoveUp Unit:=wdLine, Count:=2

  With Selection.PageSetup
    .SuppressEndnotes = False
  End With
End Sub

Good luck

I want to start a new page after the endnotes as a new chapter. But when I click the end of the endnotes and want to insert a new page, I just find that the button is not available.

How can I insert a new page after the endnotes in Word 2010? Any idea?

What is it? Never heard of such antivirus. I personally prefer bitdefender total security 2017.

And according to http://www.av-comparatives.org July – November 2016 tests F-Secure is the best, then follow Avira, Bitdefender, Trend Micro and the 5-th position is Kaspersky Lab. So the question is how can be such a big discrepancy between two independent labs?

It's been years since I've seen a HJT log of any type. I do see some entries that are questionable but I'm not going to recommend anything at this point based on the supplied log.

What makes you believe that you system is compromised?

Have you run a detection and removal scan using ESET?

Do you have any idea why the two following items are in your start menu?

I work as a service advisor at an auto repair shop and we have two computers that have some issues. One is Windows 10 (this one) and the other is Windows 7. This topic will relate to the Win 10 computer. This computer has a lot of critical software and information that would make a fresh install very inconvenient. I recently installed ESET and ran the SYSINSPECTOR. Will this information file work for you?

"404 - File or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable."

just wondering if anyone had any info on what's going on as I saw no posts on their site last time I was there about them closing or shutting down.

It's been several days.

The clean up showed pickers, flakes and I even got a small nugget!!!

I have purchased from Felix a ton of times but I know have found my favorite paydirt company. Lynch mining sells another paydirt bag called Gizmo's paydirt and it also contains at least one gram of gold. My first order of Gizmos the clean up showed pickers and flakes weighing 1.2 gram in total. I even found a bunch of small green gems I think its perodite and I even got a purple amethyst stone.

So far lynch mining sells the best paydirt yet. I have attached a link below for everyone to visit there website.

Here is there link to there website: http://www.lynchmining.com
